This program features Dr. Eric McDuffie about the life and work of Louise Little, the mother of el Haij Malik Shabazz, Malcolm X. Dr. McDuffie is the author of Sojourning for Freedom Black Women, American Communism, and the Making of Black Left which is on Duke University Press came out in 2011. The basis for this conversation is the diasporic journeys of Louise Little. Grassroots Garveyism the Midwest and community feminism, which is an essay focusing on the life of Louise Little, the mother of Malcolm X.
